Welcome to My Professional Journey I began my medical career in 1970, entering medical school at just 16 years old. Over the years, my dedication to neurology has earned me the distinction of being a Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology (FAAN), the American Academy of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine (FAANEM), and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (FAASM). To achieve these Fellow statuses, one must not only pass rigorous board examinations but also be invited by these nationally and internationally renowned boards. To the best of my knowledge, I am the only neurologist in the country—and perhaps worldwide—who holds Fellow status in these three prestigious academies. In addition to these accolades, I am board-eligible in Pain Medicine and the American Neuroimaging Society. My academic career includes serving as an Emeritus Professor at Tulane University and an Adjunct Professor at Holy Cross University. For the past three years, I have been honored to be recognized as a Top Doctor by New Orleans Magazine and Louisiana Life Magazine.
